Read-UP* Tutoring
Reading programs for winter 2022 are designed to help students who struggle attaining literacy skills due to an identified or suspected learning disability.
Read-UP* will help improve reading skills by focusing on phonological awareness, fluency, vocabulary and reading comprehension skills. Students will have access to the online award-winning LEXIA programs (Core5/PowerUp).
Read-UP* helps students improve reading skills, closes overall learning gaps and promotes a positive outlook on learning by improving social-emotional skills.
Online programs will be offered in a 1:1 format using Zoom Communication Technology. Selected in-person Thursday sessions (in Option 2 only) will be offered in partnership with Western's Mary J. Wright Child and Youth Development Clinic (CYDC) located at 1163 Richmond St, London.
